Now that the pups are just over 5 weeks old, they are starting to teethe. Their baby teeth are just starting to emerge and although they are so cute while they play and chew their toys, the reality of puppies is that they do CHEW..and they chew everything and anything they can get their mouth on. So beware...if you think that a puppy is for you, please consider the reality of bringing a young puppy into your home BEFORE you do. Not everyone is as prepared as they think like to think they are for a puppy. So please give this thorough consideration before you decide to get a puppy. Although everybody loves and wants puppies, they are NOT for everyone. Puppies can, and most likely will do chew something at some point in your home during it's long life, so please be aware of this. They will most likely have accidents inside your home until they are fully house-trained and will need to be walked / exercised everyday; so be prepared if you have carpet. I'm not trying to discourage people from adopting puppies, BUT we must be realistic; puppies are a 15-20 year commitment and you have to be prepared for that responsibility. A new dog is a big commitment and they are totally dependent on you for everything.
