When people say, 'I couldn't foster because it would be to hard to give a dog up' We say 'How can it be harder than knowing a dog died because no foster home stepped up?' and that's why we do it time and time again.

They call my Stan


Ahhhh, life sure is good these days since being rescued from the end of a chain
My most favorite fur sister to be with...next to my humans of course!



I'm an 'Artsy' kind a guy!  


They call me Stan and I am an adorable 2 year old, 16-pound heart-stealer! I am energetic a fair bit of the time, but I have my quiet moments just as often when I want to cuddle into you, let out a big sigh and relax. If you are watching a movie I will curl in beside you. If you go to the park, I will be active right along with you. I'm an easygoing kind of guy that way! I can take direction and listen incredibly well. I will come in an instant when you call me, wagging my tail. I'm great on walks, pulling at first out of sheer excitement, but then slowing down to your pace eventually. I don't bark at other dogs on walks either, I'm a lover not a fighter and not a lot seems to phase me! I also love children - even kids as young as five years old. I am a very curious boy and have been known to chase the occasional cat, so a home without cats would be best for me. I would love to live in a home with other dogs though, as I love to cuddle and play all day with a canine friend. I don't mind spending time in my crate, I sleep through the night and even if I wake up before you, I will lay quietly in my bed until you are up. I am VERY considerate! Everyone tends to comment on my muscular physique. What can I say? I'm cute as a button, but I like to think I look pretty tough with my little muscles!
