Jackson - ADOPTED!!!

Well, it looks like Jackson is home at last!

Well, it came as a complete surprise, and after more then 2 1/2 years with us,  Jackson's new forever home was right under his nose (and ours) the entire time he was with us.  It turns out that very good friends of ours had a secret crush on Jackson the entire time, unbeknownst to us.  They had longed and really wanted to adopt him, but due to timing and circumstances during that time, did not submit their application nor tell us about their secret feelings for our foster boy, feeling that for sure some lucky family out there would scoop him up in no time.  Well, as time went on and that didn't happen, they took it as a sign and realized that Jackson was meant to be theirs all along... and so it was is!  Jackson is finally home and couldn't be happier!  I've never seen a family more in love with a new fur-member and vice-versa, a former foster dog so happy adoring of his new family.  

So the moral of this story: no matter how many professional photos we take, or how much blogging we do or posting to facebook...and no matter how many times a foster dog is a 'featured' pet in local papers, a foster dog  is going to find his/her forever home...when it's 'meant to be.'  In our situation, the Universe...and Jackson have made it so.

We had the pleasure of meeting an amazing photographer with Triebephotograhy this past weekend at the park for some professional photos of Jackson, our goof, silly foster boy!   The photographer was really good at bringing out Jackson's character and allowing him to strut his stuff...and just letting Jackson be who he is... Jackson!  I'd say they did an awesome job of capturing who Jackson is, as evidenced by the following photos.  She took many more photos, so be prepared for character overload!  Here's a sampling so far of what she took.  Can you say adorable and silly?  Jackson is also featured on Triebephotography's Facebook Page, so please check them out!  You won't be disappointed.

Jackson's Favourite Things

 It's been awhile since I posted Jackson's most awesomeness Video and wanted to update you with a few more foster family photos (try saying that 10 times!!).  lol

Here he is in his most favourite spot on earth to be...each and every night...right next to, and surrounded by his foster fur-friends and his foster mom and dad.  

I'm so excited to let you know Jackson has a date (yes, a real date) with a wonderful photographer named Megan in a few weeks time to take some really cool and fun pictures of Jackson in his element; showing off his silly goofy self and being...well...Jackson!!! ...outdoors and having fun!

Jackson's Busy Weekend!

Jackson had a very busy weekend in Toronto.  After spending several hours running and playing in High Park,  it was off to Pawsway at Harbourfront for a very special fundraiser for a very special dog named Hule.

Please watch this very moving video to learn more about Hule's story.  There are many more pictures of the fundraiser for Hule on CANDi's Facebook Page.   Although Hule's story has a happy ending and many families have stepped up to offer her a wonderful, loving home, this is not always the case for Mexican dogs.  They need us now. To learn more about the amazing volunteers and rescuers who rescue these precious dogs and provide much needed veterinary care provided through Vidas (International Veterinarians Dedicated to Animal Health)  and  arrange transport to Canada, please go to CANDi (Cat and Dogs International) to see how you can help, even if you can't volunteer as a foster home or transporter, or  'escort'  the dogs from Mexico, they always appreciate monetary donations; no amount is too small.  Every cent counts for these dogs.  Please help any way you can.  It's greatly appreciated.  

Calling Toronto area residents!!!! CANDi needs volunteers in the Toronto area and surrounding to help save Mexican dogs.  They are always in need of much donated $ to help provide medical care and transport.  In some cases, it's a lifesaving operation, as is the case with Hule.  Without the countless volunteers and donators, Hule would not have received life saving treatment.  We're so happy that she did and honoured to have had the opportunity to meet her.  A very Special Dog indeed!  Let's help the many more 'Hule's' in Mexico who need us now.

That's ME...the 2nd dog from the right (the black fellow!) giving wonderful kisses to my new friend.  What a great day it was at PFF!  I met lots of new people and doggie friends, got to play in the doggie play area; I 'might' be on TV; I had lots of great treats..AND got tons of attention, which I JUST love! How perfect is that??

I was so popular today that a camera man stopped me and my foster dad and interviewed him about me.  He wanted to see the cute little tricks I could do!  I may be on TV...I think it's called Animal Planet? 

Me & my cousin Montana.  Montana is a former Loyal Foster rescue girl who used to live with us until she was adopted last year.  We get together all the time for playdates and my foster mom dogsits her often.   I love our playdates and get togethers.  I'm quite popular with the ladies you know ; )
