Petsmart adoptathon group doggie shot

Some of LOYAL's foster dogs, along with their foster parents, participated in Petsmart's Adoptathon weekend and they were a hit!  Sonny and Cher are just two of them.  Sonny and Cher are former foster dogs of mine who were moved to another foster home after several months due to space. I cannot tell you how heartbreaking it was for me to have to make that decision because these two get right into your heart and stay there.  Although I miss them both terribly, I know that that they will find the most perfect home(s).  Sonny & Cher came into Loyal rescue as a 'bonded pair' but appear to do well without one another, so, for this reason they do not have to be adopted out together, although that would be ideal.  Please give either or both of these sweet little dogs a second look.

Sonny & Cher's great overnight adventure before their 'debut' at Petsmarts Adopt -a- thon

and the bath and a good brush sure paid off! She was so white and soft....and her fur had a little scent of baby powder! Cher was hoping that the crowd at PetSmart would love to pick her up and cuddle with her (and they did!!!!!)

This is Cher right after a bath by another Loyal foster mom who was over-nighting the pair before their public appearance at Petsmart! There was a lot of grunting and snorting with pleasure going on when she was free from the tub according to the temp foster mom.  From what I heard, they were a hit at the Petsmart Adoptathon and a fun time was had by all who attended.

 

Sonny is such a good helper around the house and did a good job cleaning up under the table after dinner.

He may be a little "man's man", but rest assured he can be a big ball of mush when he wants to be! A moment before this photo was taken, he was kissing Peep the lamb!

Sonny also enjoys being on the lookout for people, dogs and cars that pass by. If he sees something that he thinks we should know about, he'll let us know with a grunt and a raspy little bark! Clearly, Cher just likes to hang out - if and when Sonny decides to give a warning bark, she'll be sure to jump up to check it out for herself too!

Sonny is such a good big brother to sister Cher! The two of them will often kiss and clean each other!

Cher is such a comical-looking girl ~ people cannot help but smile when they see this big-eyed beauty! She has a tendency to tilt her head to the side when you talk to her, kind of how she is doing in this photo, but only way more dramatic (its adorable!).

Sonny & Cher are former foster dogs of mine who are looking for a forever home.  They original came as a pair, but do not have to be adopted out as a pair.  They are the sweetest, friendliest and loving little dogs you will ever know.  I cannot say enough about these two!  I was absolutely heartbroken at having to 'move' them to another foster home far away from us due to space, but know they are going to find the most perfect home(s) no matter where they end up.  Even at approximate ages of 9-10 years, these two sure can move as you can see in the above video link! Sonny and Cher, a bonded pair!

These two LOVE their walks! Both are happy and spirited.  Cher will tilt her head from side to side when you talk to her as if she's trying real hard to understand what you are saying to her.  Both are very affectionate and friendly.  Sonny more so at first, Cher takes a bit to warm up to you, but once she does, watch out!  Both are house trained and crate trained.  Quiet chihuahua's for the most part.  Their cute little individual personalities will WARM your heart!   You would NEVER know that these two were more 'mature' in age because they DON'T act their age, they act like teenagers!  LOL

This is an exceptionally adorable bonded pair! Everything they have done in life has been together and we know that this dynamic duo will make some lucky family extremely happy!

As you can see, they love their walks and hanging out with other dogs! Both are perfectly house/crate trained and have excellent house manners.

Did I mention they are NOT barkers? Yuppers, this is a very quiet pair indeed!

Sonny and Cher are young at heart and while they do have each other....they sure wish they had a family to share their love with too!
