When people say, 'I couldn't foster because it would be to hard to give a dog up' We say 'How can it be harder than knowing a dog died because no foster home stepped up?' and that's why we do it time and time again.
A Dog's Prayer: "Treat me kindly, my beloved friend, for no heart in the entire world is more grateful for your kindness than mine. Don't be angry with me for long, and don't lock me up as punishment. After all, you have your job, your friends and your entertainment. I only have you."

Update on Chloe

Hi Donna,

Thanks for your email.  Chloe is doing awesome.  She has so much spunk!  I am sure that I told you we got her a big brother Roy- the retired racing greyhound.  They match perfectly as he is so very mellow and she is the opposite.  They spend all their time together and attract alot of attention on our nightly walks.   She is still a bit leery of men who she does not know, but that I am sure is from her past history.  She is also not comfortable with large dogs but fine with small ones.  Roy of course is the exception to this as she curls up between his legs to sleep, and if we encounter a large dog on our walks she often stands underneath him.
She has given us so much joy, and is so comical in her ways.
Thank you to all the people at Loyal and all pet rescues who commit their time and recourses to help those cats/dogs who cannot help themselves.
I have attached Chloe & Roy's Christmas picture.  (wouldn't post)
Sorry, their Halloween picture is on my home computer they had matching pumpkin costumes so cute.
Thank you,
Christine
