When people say, 'I couldn't foster because it would be to hard to give a dog up' We say 'How can it be harder than knowing a dog died because no foster home stepped up?' and that's why we do it time and time again.
A Dog's Prayer: "Treat me kindly, my beloved friend, for no heart in the entire world is more grateful for your kindness than mine. Don't be angry with me for long, and don't lock me up as punishment. After all, you have your job, your friends and your entertainment. I only have you."

Toto UPDATE from his new family

Hi Donna,
I'm so glad to hear from you - I was thinking of you this weekend because the Woofstalk was on.  We were considering going but our weekend was very busy and Wes was working nights so it didn't leave us a lot of extra time to travel into Toronto.
Toto is doing well - we did have a lot of problems with his house training but have been working closely with our family vet who has been more than generous with his time. In fact Toto has just graduated a milestone in his training and we couldn't be happier.  Sarah gets along with Toto very well and always has encouraging words for him - telling him that we aren't mad at him if he has an accident and reminding him to do his poopoo's and peepee's outside - it is just way too cute.  Sarah and I take Toto out every night after dinner for his walk and everyone really enjoys that special time.
I've attached two pictures of our little man - his big smile picture was taken yesterday so I can send it to our vets to show how happy he was to meet his potty training milestone (4 weeks accident free) and the one that has shadows in it was taken this morning - he just looked so cute I just had to take his picture - I'm sure you understand that.
Let us know how you and your family are doing and I'll make sure I keep you updated on our Toto.
Take care,
Andrea, Wes and Sarah
