When people say, 'I couldn't foster because it would be to hard to give a dog up' We say 'How can it be harder than knowing a dog died because no foster home stepped up?' and that's why we do it time and time again.
A Dog's Prayer: "Treat me kindly, my beloved friend, for no heart in the entire world is more grateful for your kindness than mine. Don't be angry with me for long, and don't lock me up as punishment. After all, you have your job, your friends and your entertainment. I only have you."

Update on Christian, our former foster boy now named 'Tito Sanchez'

Hi Donna,
Nice to hear from you!
Christian is now Tito Sanchez and he is doing well.  In fact he and his dog sister Cookie just had a 2.6 km hike on a trail in Balsam Lake where we are camping.  He loves to walk and hike.  I have done training with him and although he is much better I don't think he will ever be reliable off leash.  He has got "out" maybe three times since we adopted him and each time he responds to either the car, Cookie or me as I am his person.  He has a cable that runs the clothes line and the run of two outside decks plus a screened in one and of course the house.  He barks like a mad thing if a car goes by him and we should work on that by desensitizing him.  We live on a dead end though so we would have to go away to work on it.
I will send you pics in a separate email as I have some on my phone.
Can't believe we have had him almost 2 years.
