When people say, 'I couldn't foster because it would be to hard to give a dog up' We say 'How can it be harder than knowing a dog died because no foster home stepped up?' and that's why we do it time and time again.
A Dog's Prayer: "Treat me kindly, my beloved friend, for no heart in the entire world is more grateful for your kindness than mine. Don't be angry with me for long, and don't lock me up as punishment. After all, you have your job, your friends and your entertainment. I only have you."

What I'm Most Thankful For

Thanksgiving this year was not the usual traditional Thanksgiving for us.  This year was spent away from home with special friends... of both the human and furry kind, giving back in some small way as much as we were able to.

Thank You to my niece Jax (aka LUCY) for putting on a wonderful spread for us consisting of everything un-turkey (no To-furkey) upon our return. lol   She'll probably want to kill me for posting this picture, but that's ok, I know she still loves me. LOL  : ))

I am grateful for family and friends, and for all the amazing volunteer rescue friends we've met over the past few years.  We are especially grateful for all the wonderful fur-babies we've had the honor of fostering.  We are so grateful for what our rescue friends do on an ongoing basis by giving back selflessly to improve the lives of special furry friends.  I'm so proud to be part of a very special group!  You guys are Angels on Earth to me!

I'm grateful for my fur-niece (former foster girl) Montana aka 'Elka Babousha' and all the happiness and joy she brings into our lives everyday.  She just loved her new 'Peachy Keen' scarf that doubled as a beautiful head scarf too!  I'm grateful for my current foster dogs, Jackson, Rocco and Nutmeg for what they teach me every day... and I've learned a lot!  They make my heart smile. : )))

I can't forget my other furry pack...Susie Ku, Porter, Polly and Taco.  Without them in my life, rescue wouldn't be possible.

Without a good man behind me, I wouldn't be able to do what I do.  J's support means the world to me, as well as many rescued dogs who would not have had a chance in life otherwise.  I couldn't do this without you!!

Thank You to my human children for putting up with me and the craziness of fostering dogs; for being there to help whenever I needed it, even if it meant being second in line after the dogs' needs and for understanding.  I know it can be tough on you sometimes.

I have finally found my passion; my joy in life!  It took me awhile, and although I found it a little late in life, better late then never as they say! : ))
