When people say, 'I couldn't foster because it would be to hard to give a dog up' We say 'How can it be harder than knowing a dog died because no foster home stepped up?' and that's why we do it time and time again.
A Dog's Prayer: "Treat me kindly, my beloved friend, for no heart in the entire world is more grateful for your kindness than mine. Don't be angry with me for long, and don't lock me up as punishment. After all, you have your job, your friends and your entertainment. I only have you."
It was. We didn't get any pics of Sarge (Trip) when he saw me but you definitely would have been in tears; all of us were. He was so overwhelmed when he saw us, and then his brother Sherman. They were so happy together again. These pups have definitely taken a toll on my heart. Will be having a reunion at Trip(Sarge's) mom and dads with at least 5 of the siblings soon. The others are too far away, so not likely they will make it. Wait til that reunion; gonna definitely need a LOT of tissue. Fostering puppies is so hard. (not the work part so much, but the toll it takes on your heart. Thanks Mel.
